Each Geneva Dial clock travels inside a reinforced box fitted with custom-cut anti-shock foam inserts. Open the box on a flat, soft surface and lift the clock straight out by its case — never pull it out by the hands.

Remove the foam collar, then peel the protective films from the mineral glass and the 316L steel case only once you are certain you wish to keep the piece. Keep the box and all foam inserts: they are required for any return or warranty shipment.

Step 1 — Choose a flat, dry interior wall away from direct heat, steam and prolonged direct sunlight.

Step 2 — Mark the hook position at the desired height. As a rule, the centre of the dial sits best at eye level (approximately 160–170 cm from the floor).

Step 3 — Drill and fit the appropriate fixing for your wall type: a 6 mm nylon wall plug with a 4 x 40 mm screw for plaster or drywall, a 6 mm masonry plug for brick and concrete, or a dedicated hollow-wall anchor for partition walls.

Step 4 — Leave 3 to 5 mm of the screw head protruding, then hang the clock via the integrated hanging device moulded into the rear of the case.

Step 5 — Check that the clock sits flush and level, and gently adjust until the 12 marker is perfectly vertical. Each clock weighs under 1.5 kg, so a single correctly fitted plug and screw is sufficient.

Each clock runs on 1x standard AA 1.5V battery, inserted in the rear compartment respecting the + / − polarity. Batteries are not shipped with the clock for transport safety reasons.

We recommend a classic alkaline AA battery from a reputable brand. Do not use ultra-high-power industrial alkaline, lithium or rechargeable cells delivering irregular or elevated voltage: these can overdrive and permanently damage the precision silent sweep quartz movement, which is calibrated for a nominal 1.5V supply.

Replace the battery approximately once every 12 months, or as soon as the sweep becomes irregular. Remove the battery if the clock will remain unused for a long period to prevent leakage.

316L stainless steel case: dust with a dry soft microfibre cloth, following the direction of the brushing. For fingerprints, barely dampen the cloth with clean water and dry immediately.

Scratch-resistant mineral glass: clean with a dry or very slightly damp soft microfibre cloth only.

Never use abrasive chemicals, solvents, alcohol, ammonia-based glass cleaners, scouring pads or paper towels: they can dull the steel finish and mark the glass. Never spray any liquid directly onto the clock, and never immerse it in water.
